I have been a busy girl...

Some of you have already seen the little dress shirt that I was working on for my wardrobe refashion... but I will show it again here so you know why I haven't been sharing all the happenings around here... This little remodel... had everything go wrong that could... but here it is...
...
These pants were made from a shirt... they were much easier...45 minutes:)~
She loves the pocket... I was a natural part of the shirt...

We started potty training here... and it has been a fairly rough road here... I know I have been through this four other times, but I don't remember it being so much work... I would love to have as many tips as you have to offer...

So. Dang. Cute.

No potty training tips here. I sucked at it. All I can say is it happens when it happens, no matter what you do.

love the re-fashioning. totally awesome. as for potty training. we just did this a couple of months. i threw away all the diapers, and kept telling my guy he was a big boy. we went cold turkey, even over night. i kept reminding him to tell me when he had to go. & we stayed home for about a week, and i stuck to him like glue. there were a couple accidents the first couple of days... and then it just clicked!

thanks for all the nyc tips.

O potty training. Not my favorite subject. We haven't mastered that skill at our house.

I love the re-fashioning! Great Ideas about the pockets. In the words of Isabel, "High-five, clap, clap!"

the first couple of days were our hardest. like i said... we stayed home, and i stuck to him like glue. and seriously, like every 5 minutes i kept reminding him to tell me. after a couple days of accidents it finally just clicked.

as for the pm. i tried to limit liquids about 2 hours before bed time. he went before going to bed, and then for a month or so, i actually woke him up again, prior to my going to bed. that worked for us. after a month or so, he was able to make it through the entire night.

good luck!

both pieces are awesome! way to repurpose. potty training seems like so long ago - i'd say lots and lots of patients, and maybe a chair in the bathroom for you to sit and read book after book after book while the little one sits and sits and sits. also we loved the alona frankel (sp?) book about little joshua/little prudence and the potty. "once upon a potty" i believe is the title. good luck!

I'm so impressed that you persevered with that dress! It totally paid off. So cute!
I like the pants, too. I'm inspired to make some for my little girl. Good luck with the potty training!
